Reimagine Your Kitchen.

When relocating to a new flat, it is not uncommon to encounter existing kitchen cabinetry that may be outdated, worn, or simply fail to align with the new resident's aesthetic preferences. As part of a collaborative project with the design team at "All About The Move," we were tasked with revitalising an outdated kitchen and utility room by applying a bespoke hand-painted finish to the existing cabinetry.

Prior to painting, the carcasses and units underwent meticulous preparation. This included thorough degreasing, sanding, and the application of an adhesion primer – a crucial step in ensuring optimal paint adhesion. Following a 24-hour drying period, the entire kitchen was sanded again, followed by the application of three coats of high-quality paint over the next three days. This meticulous process resulted in a flawlessly smooth, brush-free finish, achieving the desired aesthetic envisioned by the designers.

On the fifth day, the doors and drawers were carefully refitted, ensuring proper alignment and incorporating stylish new handles to complement the overall design. The chosen colour for this project was Payne's Grey, a sophisticated iron blue-grey that offers a less intense alternative to black. Historically associated with the 18th-century watercolourist William Payne, this timeless shade adds a touch of drama and sophistication to the space.
