Meeting with Traditional Hand Painted

Working with Traditional Hand Painted could not be simpler, initially we would visit with you (if possible) to discuss the work to be carried out or work from photos and assess what work is needed, We can discuss any preferred manufacturers and if you have a specific colour selected, if your unsure about a colour, this is where THP can assist you to understand all aspects of the finished project, we have painted many kitchens in a wide variety of colours over the years, taking in to consideration wall and ceiling colours, floor and artificial lighting temperatures as well as natural light entering the kitchen.

Once the meeting has concluded and we have your kitchen size, condition and type, as well as colour and desired finish including timescales, we can prepare a quotation for the work. This includes all work to be carried out, all materials required and time for the project. This is a fixed price quotation meaning once the quotation has been accepted by you the price is fixed and will not increase. To understand a good rule of thumb estimate, take each door, drawer and cover then multiply by £70. This covers painting both side of each door, drawer, pelmet, cornice, plinth, end panels and frames.

Minimal Disruption is our aim when we start planning the work to be carried out, painting your kitchen can take between 1 and 2 weeks, during this time your kitchen still needs to be usable for you and your family. Over the years we have developed systems and processes to ensure we work cleanly this includes dust free sanding of kitchen frames and units that cannot be removed, the remainder will be completed off site at our workshop. All the other surrounding surfaces are masked off and protected.

When we begin working on your kitchen we pay meticulous attending to each step in the process, from removing the units and taping the frames to repairing any scratches or dents in the doors and at the end of each day, we will clean all work areas and leave your home looking like it did when we arrived.
