Kitchen Rescue - Fading Orange into a Symphony of Blue.

Many homeowners feel stuck with solid or pine wood kitchens that have oxidized over time, turning that familiar, dated shade of "glowing orange." While the look is tired, the cabinets are often perfectly sound. Before you consider a costly and disruptive demolition, remember: you don’t need to replace a high-quality kitchen to make it feel brand new.

Our latest project was a true rescue of a well-built pine timber kitchen. Replacing units of this quality would have cost tens of thousands; instead, we transformed them for a fraction of that price. Our process focuses on refined restoration rather than just resurfacing . We began with a deep degrease and a delicate sanding to "key" the surface ensuring a permanent bond without compromising the integrity of the wood.

To achieve a flawless, deep finish, we used a high-adhesion primer tinted to match our final color: Symphony Blue. This was followed by three topcoats of Benjamin Moore ScuffX Eggshell, with meticulous sanding between every single layer. This creates the signature smooth, brush-mark-free finish we are known for.

Complete with sleek new hardware, the heavy, dated wood has been replaced by a fresh, contemporary space. If your solid timber kitchen is ready for a second life, professional hand-painting is the smartest, most sustainable investment you can make.
